My blog today is a short one. Just a simple note to remind everyone what God is doing in their lives. If you are struggling in your faith or finding your self doing things that wouldn't be pleasing to God and you know it. Then you are a lot like me. I fall of the path a lot but the Lord is my shepard and he will always protect you and accept you back in the herd, NO MATTER HOW FAR YOU HAVE WONDERED. The verse in the Bible that has touched my life in the most intimate and meaningful way is Jeremiah 29:13-14. It says that the Lord sometimes puts you in situations to teach you a lesson and to prepare you for greater things in life. Well God certainly did that for me. I strayed away from the Lord for the hundreth time and was doing things very unpleaseing to God. To stop me from doing this the Lord put me and someone I am very close to in a very bad situation that would have altered our lives forever. We then searched the Bible for guidence, because it is always so much easier to come to God when you're in trouble. And the Lord pointed out this verse. It says at the end of the verse, "I will bring you back out of the exile I put you in." This verse touched me on a deeper level than any you could imagine. It showed me my mistake and showed that the Lord wanted to forgive me if I would only come back, because as I have said before, "The lord never leaves our side, We are the ones that walk away."
Back to the first sentence in BOLD. Christians, we should never treat God as a saftey net. We should never have the mentallity, as I often do, "I'll do ti this once I know the Lord will forgive me later." When things are going great, PRAISE HIM! When its just a normal nothing too special day, PRAISE HIM! And when things are not going the way WE planned, PRAISE HIM! Because HIS plan is so much better than anything we can think up. He's smart like that ;).
